Workshop Description

We all know that meditation can help with a variety of physical and mental health concerns.

The research on the benefits of meditation is clear. Meditation can help clients:

·      Balance the nervous system to promote calmness and peace

·      Influence and alter brainwaves to boost focus and sustain cognitive functioning

·      Regulate emotions and improve relationships

·      Improve physical health

·      Increase quality of life

But many people don’t know how to start a meditation practice, and many more struggle to maintain a practice over time.

Our Level 2 Instructor Training: Clinical Applications Workshop provides a deep dive into using meditation as an adjunctive intervention for mental health conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, chronic stress, depression, or PTSD.

In this workshop you will learn to:

·      Identify and describe different styles of meditation and the impact those styles have on the brain and nervous system

·      Pair each style with a client’s specific concerns

·      Develop a meditation plan for each client in your practice

·      Evaluate the effectiveness of each meditation plan

The Level 2 Instructor Training Workshop combines didactic instruction with hands-on learning. Experiential training and small-group practice sessions allow you to practice teaching each meditation style.
